The Reserve Bank of India's new bank locker guidelines mandate strict regulations on locker usage, prohibiting storage of illegal or hazardous materials. Locker charges vary significantly based on size, branch location, and area classification.
 
State Bank of India (SBI) Locker Charges:
  • Small Lockers: Rs 2,000 (urban/metro), Rs 1,500 (rural/semi-urban)
  • Medium Lockers: Rs 3,000 (urban/metro), Rs 2,000 (rural/semi-urban)
  • Large Lockers: Rs 6,000 (urban/metro), Rs 5,000 (rural/semi-urban)
  • Extra Large Lockers: Rs 9,000 (urban/metro), Rs 7,000 (rural/semi-urban)
 
ICICI Bank Locker Charges:
  • Small Lockers: Range from Rs 1,200 (rural) to Rs 4,000 (metro plus)
  • Medium Lockers: Range from Rs 2,500 (rural) to Rs 9,000 (metro plus)
  • Large Lockers: Range from Rs 4,000 (rural) to Rs 15,000 (metro plus)
 
HDFC Bank Locker Charges:
  • Small Lockers: Rs 550 (rural) to Rs 2,200 (metro)
  • Medium Lockers: Rs 1,250 (rural) to Rs 4,000 (metro)
  • Large Lockers: Rs 3,300 (rural) to Rs 10,000 (metro)
 
Punjab National Bank (PNB) Locker Charges:
  • Small Lockers: Rs 1,250 (rural), Rs 2,000 (urban/metro)
  • Medium Lockers: Rs 2,500 (rural), Rs 3,500 (urban/metro)
  • Large Lockers: Rs 3,000 (rural), Rs 5,500 (urban/metro)
  • Very Large Lockers: Rs 6,000 (rural), Rs 8,000 (urban/metro)
 
Charges include GST and vary based on location and bank policy.
