ICICI bank launched facility to pay UPI payments above Rs10,000 in EMIs

ICICI Bank has introduced an easy EMI facility for UPI payments made by scanning QR codes. This facility is available only to customers who are eligible for the ‘buy now, pay later’ service.
The facility allows customers to instantly buy products or services by scanning the merchant QR code and making payments in EMIs. It can be availed across a variety of categories including electronics, groceries, fashion apparels, travel, and hotel bookings.
This first-of-its-kind facility has made products and services more affordable for lakhs of customers who can now buy items by scanning the required merchant QR code and paying through EMIs.
Customers can pay transaction amounts above Rs10,000 in easy installments over three, six or nine months. Soon, the EMI facility for Pay Later will also be extended to online shopping.
In 2018, ICICI Bank became the first to enable customers to buy small-ticket items immediately in a completely digital and paperless manner. The Pay Later facility enables customers to shop online, pay bills, and pay to any merchant UPI ID at physical stores instantly.
Follow these steps to opt for EMIs:
1. Visit a physical store and select your desired product or service.
2. Use the iMobile Pay app and select the "Scan any QR" option to make the payment.
3. If the transaction amount is Rs10,000 or more, choose the PayLater EMI option.
4. Select the EMI tenure from 3, 6, or 9 months.
5. Confirm the payment to complete the transaction successfully.
